At Pillars of Health we believe that to be healthy you have to be connected to nature. Disease and ill-health usually appear when your connection to the natural world is compromised. Because we depend on the environment around us for the 5 pillars, we have to respect our position within the great fabric of life. This is a big part of how we operate and fits very well into our holistic approach and the reason why we also offer services like Reiki to keep you connected and personal training to re-connect you to your body; your link to nature.

If we disrespect the planet as we have been doing now for a number of centuries we will soon learn that to disconnect is to perish. We are held together by Mother Nature who blesses us with the food we eat, the water we require for every cells functioning, the air we breathe, for the rise and set of the sun that promotes sleep and encourages wakefulness and the space we require to move around in.

When confronted with a question, before you ask anyone their advice the first thing you should do is ask yourself if it fits into natures plans....

PLEASE be nice to the world we live in. Our inability to let go of frivolous things within our lifestyles is what will damage the world permanently and likely be our demise. Your 'carbon footprint' is the extent to which your lifestyle allows you to let go of your need for 'stuff', let your ego sit on the curb for a moment and decide if what you are accumulating is NECESSARY, or simply a want... and if you do need it are you buying it from China, Indonesia and the US to save a couple of dollars?

Have you ever asked yourself how much gas was used in the planes, trains and automobiles to get your product to you? Even if it IS organic, fair trade etc???? Why not buy it from the local farmers? Buy sustainable products like bamboo or hemp? Repair your old ones? ...?

We've lost the ability to see the "pollution" we're creating. A friend once said to me how angry he got when someone threw trash out of the window of a moving car, to which I replied how angry I got when someone bought things that are unnecessary. When questioned as to why I would think that way I replied "Where do you think the packaging goes from your purchase? Regardless, whether or not it goes out the window and is blowing around in the street making the world look untidy, it still ends up buried under the earth instead of on top."

If when cleaning your room, you take all of your things and stuff it into the closet is the room really clean or does it only appear so? Such is the nature of the world at the moment. Outta sight, outta mind. Too bad the planet can still see it. Too bad you're part of this planet and you're gonna feel it eventually.

Think about it. PLEASE!
